The Full Story
Building My TRIBE

Welcome to our TRIBE.I love all things tea. I have been having tea parties since I was a little girl and have shared this passion with my five daughters. I really became interested in holistic wellness after my oldest daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 5. And searching for natural ways to treat her condition, I turned to bush medicine. 15 years ago, I started hosting an "African American" tea ceremony in February after reading an article highligting slave traditions. My journey has brought me back to my heritage. I am so excited to share this journey with you. Tea is widely consumed all over Africa and is infused in daily life and cultural feasts and ceremonies. Chai (black tea with milk and spices) is popular in East Africa by way of Kenya. Red Bush or Rooibos (an herbal tea) is a favorite in Southern Africa. Hibiscus is a favorite in West and North Africa. Mint tea is loved in North and West Africa. Most teas in Africa are consumed with milk and spices. The shared experience of drinking tea is full of laughter and sharing the stories of life.
